SCHOLARSHIPS |
The scholarships are open to undergraduate students of the University of Adelaide who intend to progress in their studies to undertake an honours degree, or a HB.MedSc degree for MBBS students, in a health science related area at the University of Adelaide. Applicants should have successfully completed at least two years of their course at the time of the scholarship commences.
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (upto six available in 2009)
The Vacation Scholarship is designed for undergraduate students who have completed at least two years of their program. A student can only a TQEH Research Foundation Research Scholarship (or equivalent) if they do not simultaneously hold another vacation scholarship.
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (upto nine available in 2009)
Students must be eligible to enrol in an Honours Degree with any University in South Australia. A student can hold a TQEH Research Foundation Honours Research Scholarship if they do not simultaneously hold another Honours Scholarship.
Nurse practitioner scholarships of upto $15,000 per annum for two years, targeted specifically at nurses in rural and remote areas, will be provided for upto 20 nurses to upgrade their skills to practice as nurse practitioners. Applications close 5 December 2008.
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (upto six available in 2009)
Students must be a medical graduate for registration in South Australia, or appropriately qualified science graduate or health professional eligble for enrolment in a university higher degree, and meet citizenship and residency criteria.
Postgraduate Community Aged Care Nursing Scholarship Scheme
The Postgraduate Community Aged Care Nursing Scholarship Scheme is an initiative funded by the Australian Government to encourage more people to enter (or re-enter) the community aged care sector, and to increase the skills of nurses already working in the sector. Applications close 24 October 2008.
Mental Health Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme
The Mental Health Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme is a long term initiative funded by the Australian Government to encourage and support people interested in undertaking postgraduate study in mental health nursing and clinical psychology disciplines. Applications close 24 October 2008.
